root9B Announces Release of ORKOS - Credential Risk Assessment and Remediation Solution

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 15, 2015) -- root9B, a root9B Technologies (OTCQB: RTNB) company, and leading provider of advanced cybersecurity services and training for commercial and government clients, today announced that its new Credential Risk Assessment and Remediation Solution, ORKOS, will be released later this month.

ORKOS is a unique solution that combats the risk of credential theft and lateral movement in network breaches. Stolen credentials and lateral movement – whereby threat actors navigate within a network in order to elude detection and expand control to other workstations, servers and IT infrastructure elements - represent a serious risk to corporations and governments.  As documented in several of the recent Fortune 500 breaches, credential theft represents a key tactic utilized by the adversary. ORKOS, root9B's newest software solution, is a platform that assesses, visualizes, and offers remediation recommendations of those risks.

"ORKOS is the tool that network assessments have been missing," said Eric Stride, root9B's Vice President of Emerging Technologies. "ORKOS utilizes a comprehensive approach to analyze data, while generating an interactive attack graph that shows how an adversary could move through the network."

ORKOS provides an interactive interface to analyze and understand adversary lateral movement risks; delivers a comprehensive report useful to auditors, ranks and reports those risks; and offers remediation strategies.

"One of ORKOS' unique features is its ability to simulate the network under custom scenarios, allowing network personnel to determine the bottom line effects of any changes and focus efforts on the most serious risks first," said Matthew Weeks, root9B's Director of Emerging Technologies.
