Digital Marketing Content Writer

Overview

The Marketing Content Writer will work in collaboration with the Corporate Communications and Marketing Team to define and promote our brand across a variety of print and digital media. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to listen to the marketplace, then create and publish the right content in the right social channels to positively influence root9B business goals through effective social and brand communication – and have a little fun while you are at it! The Marketing Content Writer will be responsible for all the various stages of copy creation – from initial interviews and concept development, to research and writing, to presentations and final approvals. You will need to be an exceptional writer, with complete and total expertise of the English language, as well as current digital and social media lingo. You will work in a wide variety of mediums, and must be able to research, understand and communicate about complex subjects, relating to cybersecurity and technology, in a way that makes them both clear and compelling. Overview

Network Defense Analyst III

Overview

The Network Defense Analyst III will work in a 24X7 root9B Adversary Pursuit Center, monitoring client networks and regularly interfacing with customer security and/or IT personnel. The Network Defense Analyst III will be responsible for the smooth execution of day-to-day Network Defense Operations, to include Security Monitoring and Management services, direction to junior analysts and conducting advanced security analysis. Individuals will be involved in the daily analysis of newly-reported threats and will provide additional context and consultation services required to resolve incidents quickly. The Network Defense Analyst III will perform analysis and tuning of the Security Analytics platform configuration and use cases and create, review, approve and publish customer-facing reports on threat intelligence, operational metrics and/or service performance. Members will regularly liaise with appropriate customer stakeholders to develop deep contextual insight into security operations, IT systems and business imperatives, while leveraging root9B’s proprietary methods, procedures and technologies to substantially help the customer reduce cybersecurity risks in the areas of security monitoring, threat detection and analysis and cyber intelligence. In addition, this individual will ensure consistent delivery of the root9B Network Defense Operations service, refinement of methodologies and procedures to better align with the customer and ongoing tuning to ensure the service evolves with the ever-changing threat landscape. The Network Defense Analyst III is expected to handle day-to-day tasks, as well as short-notice ad hoc work, with minimal supervision. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, assisting customers with issue resolution elevated from junior members, updating customer records within a CRM ticketing system, escalating issues on the customer’s behalf to more senior members and performing routine technical tasks related to the management and monitoring of the services that a customer receives.

Overview

The Incident Response Analyst must be a proven team player with excellent oral and written communications skills. The Incident Response Analyst must be capable of working on projects independently. Frequent interaction with government client is required. Candidate must have previous experience working in a network security incident response team, such as a Security Operations Center (SOC), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Incident Response Center (CIRC) or Cyber Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC). The Incident Response Analyst provides continuous monitoring of cyber space operations within the MARFORCYBER Command Operations Center (COC). Perform Cyber Incident response in accordance with MARFORCYBER COC SOPs, threat and vulnerability assessment, analyze networks events detected by network monitoring systems and coordinate responses, and participates in meetings with other cyber organizations including service components, Intelligence agencies, law enforcement, etc. Respond to incidents within the defined response times by the Help Desk Operations.

Overview

The selected individual will work as part of root9B’s Cyber Training team instructing classes and developing, maintaining and refreshing advanced cyber operations and analysis courses and curriculum for commercial and government customers. The individual will serve as the course lead for a subset of root9B courses and be responsible for overall course design, content, flow, and exercise development for each assigned course. The individual will be responsible for maintaining expert-level proficiency in course subject matter areas and researching current trends in computer and network exploitation and vulnerability analysis that can be incorporated into existing or new courses.
