Defensive Cyberspace Operations Analyst

Overview

Conducts 24/7 Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) support activities on Air Force Space Control Network (AFSCN) mission system, Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) mission system or Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) mission systems. Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Typical tasks include perform monitoring operations; report cyber security events and anomalies; provide analysis and recommendations, Vulnerability Management (VM) and Malware Protection / Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis (VAA), Intrusion Analysis and Correlation Information, incident handling, mission operations transfer, exercise and assessment support. This position will work on a Panama schedule, switching between day shift and night shift every two months.

Overview

Overview

The Incident Response Analyst must be a proven team player with excellent oral and written communications skills. The Incident Response Analyst must be capable of working on projects independently. Frequent interaction with government client is required. Candidate must have previous experience working in a network security incident response team, such as a Security Operations Center (SOC), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Incident Response Center (CIRC) or Cyber Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC). The Incident Response Analyst provides continuous monitoring of cyber space operations within the MARFORCYBER Command Operations Center (COC). Perform Cyber Incident response in accordance with MARFORCYBER COC SOPs, threat and vulnerability assessment, analyze networks events detected by network monitoring systems and coordinate responses, and participates in meetings with other cyber organizations including service components, Intelligence agencies, law enforcement, etc. Respond to incidents within the defined response times by the Help Desk Operations.

Senior Cyber Operations Instructor

Overview

The selected individual will work as part of root9B’s Cyber Training team instructing classes and developing, maintaining and refreshing advanced cyber operations and analysis courses and curriculum for commercial and government customers. The individual will serve as the course lead for a subset of root9B courses and be responsible for overall course design, content, flow, and exercise development for each assigned course. The individual will be responsible for maintaining expert-level proficiency in course subject matter areas and researching current trends in computer and network exploitation and vulnerability analysis that can be incorporated into existing or new courses.
